Director of Business Affairs

Alexander Coffee is a licensed California entertainment attorney, and serves as the Director of Business & Legal Affairs for Bold Films, an independent film & television production and finance company in Hollywood, California. At Bold, Alex has worked on a number of feature films, including the Ryan Gosling hit “Drive”, Sony Pictures worldwide success “Legion” and Joe Dante’s 3D thriller “The Hole”. Alex joined Bold in 2008 after working in the legal department at Summit Entertainment, were he worked on the sale and distribution of films such as “Never Back Down”, “Knowing” and the blockbuster franchise “Twilight”. Through his career, Alex has negotiated all forms of entertainment contracts, including talent agreements, distribution deals, and third party financing structures. Alex also spent some time working for the sports agency Impact Sports, where he assisted in the research and negotiation of NFL player contracts and marketing/endorsement agreements.

Mr. Coffee grew up in Portland Oregon where he attended college and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Portland State University in 2002. After graduation he moved to Los Angeles to attend Southwestern Law School and earned his Juris Doctorate in Entertainment and Sports Law in 2007. Alex is married, has two children, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
